Task
Create a mobile app on the way based on the complicated desktop dashboard version. Cut features and keep only core functionality.
Problem
The core issue wasn’t the interface, but the onboarding process itself. Employees relied heavily on manual work, and data and tools were fragmented. As a result, decision-making was slow and directly impacted business growth.
Employees need onboarding into dashboard and spend more time to approve member application. Can't approve members from any other location.
Research
I started by interviewing business stakeholders and employees to understand both the value of the product and real workflows. Then I mapped the onboarding process step by step to identify where it breaks. Based on that, I formed hypotheses and tested which changes would actually improve speed and decision-making.
Solution
At each stage, I had to choose between adapting the existing solution and rethinking it entirely. For example, I considered simplifying the interface, but instead focused on automating the process. I also evaluated whether compliance should remain a separate step or be integrated into the flow, and chose integration. Another key decision was between a universal interface and role-based experiences, where I leaned toward personalization.
Fewer steps;
Automatic data population;
Built-in verification;
Communication integrated into the process.
Results
Faster processing, less errors and transparent application status.
